“Mosaico” is the Aucouturier Psychomotor Practice Center in our area. It promotes and implements Psychomotor Practice at an educational/preventive level based on the theoretical-practical orientation developed over 50 years of research and activity by Prof. Bernard Aucouturier.
It offers and carries out Psychomotor Practice with girls and boys, deepening research since understanding the world of childhood, its characteristics, and maturation processes is fundamental to appreciating the meaning and objectives of Psychomotor Practice.
The “Mosaico” Center collaborates with local schools, with affiliated or private centers that deal with the psychic and functional maturation of girls and boys, with disorders and delays in development processes, and with educators who in various ways offer services for children.
The Center therefore carries out the following activities:

What is PPA® (Aucouturier Psychomotor Practice)
Psychomotor Practice was born in France about forty years ago thanks to Prof. Bernard Aucouturier, and it also developed in Italy starting from the 1970s. It is practiced by specialists who have attended three-year training courses at Italian Schools of Psychomotor Practice recognized by the EIA (Ecole Internationale Aucouturier) with the scientific supervision and direct participation of Prof. B. Aucouturier himself. Psychomotor Practice is based on some fundamental concepts regarding the person and their way of being. It considers the person in a “global” way, that is, as a close union between somatic, affective, and cognitive structure, respects the originality of their being/acting, recognizes “psychomotor expressiveness” as their specific way of being, deals with the relationship with others, peers and adults, providing the necessary tools to face it positively, diversifying them according to age.
Psychomotor Practice aims to welcome and respond to the needs of the child, helping them in their normal developmental path or in situations of difficulty.
It promotes the development of expressive, creative, and communicative potential related to both the motor and symbolic/cognitive and affective/relational fields.
In the psychomotor room, the child can receive listening and help for their needs, whether they fall within the scope of normal development or in the area of disorder and difficulty in relationships, communication, cognition, affectivity, etc.)
The Aucouturier Psychomotor Practice offers the child the possibility of a growth space that supports and integrates the
school and family environments. Although different from them, it is at the same time complementary and dialectical, helping adults who
accompany girls and boys in their maturation and growth journey (parents, educators, teachers, etc.) to
deepen their knowledge and follow their evolution during the psychomotor experience.
